FAQ

Answers to the questions Cape Town homeowners ask us most about tree felling, stump removal and palm trimming.

What tree services does Sukruddin Tree Felling offer?

We offer tree felling and removal, stump removal and grinding, palm tree trimming and maintenance, and plot and bush clearing across Cape Town.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve Cape Town and the surrounding Southern Suburbs, including Southfield, Rondebosch, Claremont, Kenilworth, Wynberg, Plumstead, Diep River, Tokai, Constantia, Bergvliet, Lansdowne, Wetton, Ottery, Mitchells Plain, Grassy Park, Retreat, Muizenberg, Mowbray, Observatory, Pinelands, Bishopscourt and Newlands.

How does the on-site assessment work?

Every job starts with a free, no-obligation visit. We come out, look at the tree or site in person, explain the safest approach, and give you a clear, upfront quote before any work is booked in.

Do you give quotes over the phone?

No. Tree work varies too much on access, lean and size to quote accurately without seeing it. We always assess on-site first, so the price we give you is the price you pay.

Is Sukruddin Tree Felling insured?

Yes. Our crews are fully equipped and insured, and work with the right PPE and rigging equipment for the job.

Do I need council permission to remove a tree?

Some larger or protected trees in Cape Town may require council approval before removal. We check this during the free on-site assessment, so you know where you stand before anything is scheduled.

Do you remove the stump as well as the tree?

Yes, stump grinding or full removal can be quoted alongside felling during the same on-site visit, or booked separately if you already have a stump from a previous job.

How often should palm trees be trimmed?

Most palms do well with a trim once or twice a year, depending on the species and how fast it is growing. We give an honest recommendation for your specific palm during the on-site visit.

Do you offer emergency tree removal?

Yes, we prioritise situations where a fallen or damaged tree is an immediate risk. Get in touch with the details and we will respond as quickly as we can.

What happens to the branches and debris after the job?

Site clean-up is included in every job. We clear branches, offcuts and debris before we leave so the area is safe and tidy.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and EFT.

What are your hours?

We operate daily from 08:00 to 18:00.
