Devil’s Peak Estate sits on the slopes below its namesake mountain, close to the University of Cape Town, with a mix of established residential gardens and some newer developments. Properties higher up the slope tend to have more mature trees than those closer to the university itself.
We see a good mix of routine trimming and full removals here, typical of an established but not overly dense residential suburb. The mountain backdrop means some properties benefit from higher rainfall than suburbs further from Table Mountain, supporting slightly more established tree cover on the upper slopes.
