Kalk Bay is a historic fishing harbour village with narrow streets climbing steeply from the working harbour toward the mountain. Stands here are small and closely packed, similar in character to some of the older City Bowl suburbs, so tree work usually involves individual, well-placed trees rather than larger gardens.

Given the narrow access typical of this village, we plan equipment and rigging carefully for every Kalk Bay job. The steep, historic streets here mean getting equipment to a property sometimes takes as much planning as the tree work itself, similar to the challenges we see in Bo-Kaap or De Waterkant.
Properties higher up the slope, away from the immediate harbour area, tend to have slightly more garden space than those right on the working harbour front.

Whatever the access challenges, we start every Kalk Bay job with a free, honest on-site assessment.
